Fam Trip To The Welcombe Spa 21/11/09

Here’s a quick summary of The Welcombe Spa as experienced by our team on their recent visit.

• The Welcombe Spa offers a combination of old and new styles. Generally offering a more traditional style throughout, but with a modern and relaxing spa.
• Lovely imposing building at end of long driveway through parkland and golf course, so gives a very good first impression.
• Staff very attentive and good natured. All public areas/rooms impressive and very large. Fantastic fireplace in the main lounge, massively tall ceilings with wood panelling everywhere.
• Restaurant extremely good with proper silver service. Nothing too much trouble and always done with a smile. Food out of this world and way above expectations and that coupled with professional, trained staff made it a very enjoyable experience.
• Bar also very good and efficient, again run by a proper barman who knew his stuff.
• Best rooms were the modern timeshare apartments to the rear of the spa for a different and luxurious hotel experience with all the home amenties.
• The spa itself very modern and well equipped and of a good size. The spa offers more than the basic facilities, such as an outdoor hot tub, experience showers and an ice fountain.
• Overall excellent venue.
